AGED 50+ YEARS

SINGLE

He takes himself extremely seriously and has no sense of humour. A highly anxious person who suffers from stress rashes. Prides himself on being an active member of the community and diligent book-keeper of the Charity shop. Has loved Sylvie from the moment he laid eyes on her.

MARGARET

AGED 80+ YEARS

Witty, sarcastic, perverted and very switched on for her age. Has a big heart which she hides with jokes and sarcasm. Deeply loyal.

SYLVIE

AGED 50+ YEARS

A very sweet natured woman. Never Married. Kind-hearted, forgiving, and a devout Catholic. Is still grieving the loss of her best friend Judy. Someone who bottles up frustrations rather than confronting them. A conflict avoider and easily flustered. Oblivious to Malcolm’s feelings for her.

TOM

AGED 18 – 25 YEARS

Good natured and hard working. He is the pick-up and delivery boy for the shop. Tries to do the right thing and protect his wayward brother Jerry. Has much respect for the others in the shop

JERRY (to be played by same actor as Tom)

Twin brother to Tom, mixed up with the local gang and up to no good

JOELLE

Aged 30+

Male who has recently discovered cross dressing but hasnt quite mastered the art of feminism yet.  New to the community, defensive and confrontational in nature but her heart is in the right place.

WILLIAM

AGED MID – LATE 60+s

A recently retired, very successful lawyer. His work was his life. Husband to Judy and is deeply grieving her loss. Arrogant, sexist and condescending to those less educated than himself.

MR TANKERSLY

AGED 30+ YEARS

An attention seeker with an appalling sense of humour – he thinks he’s hilarious. Melodramatic. Has a passion for collecting salt and pepper shakers with the dream of making millions of Trademe.Loves a good bargain

SALLY

AGED: 30 – 40 YEARS

Intellectually handicapped (not to be overplayed), full of energy and happiness. Loves helping at the shop and had a close bond with Judy. Repeats words that people around her accentuate. The shop is her life and she loves it

MR PAPADOPOULOS

Aged 30+

Owner of an ever expanding Vaping buisness

Romantic, driven and used to getting what he wants

CONSTABLE STAINSBURY

AGED 35 – 45 YEARS

Serious and diligent with little tolerance.
